Real-time aggregates from the Murang'a County Telemedicine platform
The Murang'a County Telemedicine Programme is a flagship initiative of the County Government of Health, designed to bring quality specialist care closer to the people who need it most.
Our focus is on patients living with Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) — including diabetes, hypertension, cardiovascular disease, and chronic respiratory conditions. These long-term illnesses require regular follow-up, yet many of our patients, especially the elderly, face long and costly journeys to referral hospitals.
Through telemedicine, patients visit their nearest county health facility where they are connected to specialists via secure digital consultations. This reduces travel burdens, shortens waiting times, and ensures that chronic conditions are monitored and managed consistently.
Locate a Participating FacilityStructured follow-up for diabetes, hypertension, heart disease and other chronic conditions through regular tele-consultations.
Patients aged 60 and above are prioritised, with booking and reminder support to help them keep every appointment.
